Penthouse Suite
On June 13 they moved me from ICU to a regular room. I'm not sure if it's because I was doing better or the ICU nurses filed a grievance with the local nurses union. Seriously, Melissa and Andrene kept me going and successfully guiding my shining butt to the toilet seat for two days. Thanks you two! You're the greatest.
Minor Setback (Sort of)
Yes, that's a syringe in my neck! (I have no idea why)
On June 11 I had to report to Southcrest Hospital for a heart catheterization procedure. It's a pretty routine procedure (although not without some danger) that detects heart blockage(s). I wasn't really all that worried as I had no symptoms and had successfully sweated my butt off running the Indiecam on last Sunday's shoot for 4 hours without dropping dead ha ha! Well, I was wrong. The cardiologist informed me I needed open-heart surgery ASAP and a double heart bypass. Bummer. I admit I was in denial a bit. But, since it's better than dropping dead suddenly, I agreed to the procedure. Here I am the morning after in ICU. Arrrgggg. Nice outfit, huh?
Scenes 13,14 & 17
We had a fantastic time Sunday shooting scenes 13,14 & 17 at the Wealaka Mission Cemetery. Jerib and Shelby were in top form doing Chuck & Michelle. Check out the slideshow behind the scenes.
Aunt Idas Place
Aunt Ida's Place
Well, after weeks of looking and driving all over the Oklahoma countryside we've found our locations! We don't want to reveal exactly where they are at this time but we're including a pic of Aunt Ida's place. Pretty spooky, huh? In real life this place is spooky because it used to be a funeral home!
Script Read-Through
Part of the Gang
We had a complete script read-through Thursday night 5/21 at the Agora Coffee House. It will very well, had a lot of fun and ate significant quantities of pizza. I nearly was attacked when I joked about forgetting to hit the audio record button after a 90 minute read.
Pre-production
We're in pre-production now.
